Creators of world-renowned maritime publications, Tandy Media wanted to sell their portfolio of products – from magazine subscriptions through dedicated merchandise to aircraft plans – exclusively through their new web site. They also wanted it to be the parent for their other, product-specific, sites so that users would be able to manage their account in one place. As well as delivering a clean, fresh design, this required us to integrate ecommerce functionality into the site.
Given the commercial objectives of the site, functionality was included which encouraged cross-selling between magazines and merchandise plus a system for automated subscription renewal. Naturally, particular attention was given to site security.
